I’m an avid sailor. Now I’m nine weeks pregnant and my morning sickness seems to intensify when I’m on the boat. Do you have any suggestions to alleviate the nausea?
Morning sickness is a common problem for many pregnant women. It usually eases up near the end of the first trimester. As you know, sailing can also trigger nausea. To help alleviate the nausea you should consider trying a product called Sea Bands. These wristbands have a small snap that can be located over an acupressure point on the wrist. They’re sometimes used on cruise ships and for pregnant women to ease nausea. They’re not particularly expensive and might be the perfect solution for you. There are also many home remedies to try for nausea. Flat soda, ginger ale, ginger pills, separating liquids from solids and eating bland foods are just a few options. Nausea in early fpregnancy will be a topic of another post in the future. Stay tuned
