Now that I’m pregnant, why do I feel so stressed and nervous?

Q: I am 10 weeks pregnant and feel stressed and nervous.

A: Many women are worried about the health of their baby and the strange physical changes they are experience.

These are very normal concerns, especially when your body is being kidnapped by the baby and you are tired all the time.

I try to accent the positive, reminding them they are making a kidney, liver, brain and a whole lot more.  This is hard work and something that your partner can’t do.

To ease their concerns, I invite them to see their baby with an office ultrasound.  I have found that one picture is truly worth a 1000 words and is a great stress reliever.
